Civilian Summary 1974 – Present
Al Schroeder has over 37 years of experience in the finance, banking and captive finance industry including executive positions at GE, Chase Manhattan, Michigan National Corporation and Coulter Corporation. He created and successfully executed business plans that increased the size as well as the profitability of companies with local, regional and national operations. Current member of the MOAA Central Florida Chapter Board of Directors.

Adjunct Professor 1994 – 2018
As an adjunct professor at Webster University, Al taught Finance, Marketing and Management and International Businesses courses. He was the Mentor of their MBA and International Business Program in Orlando. He also served as an adjunct professor for Barry University, teaching Finance and Budget Administration courses, and at DeVry University at their Keller Graduate School of Management, teaching Financial Management courses there. Mr. Schroeder was a guest speaker at Webster/Regent College, London, UK discussing Macro Economics and International Trade.

Military Experience Summary 1967 – 1994
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, RETIRED – Lt. Colonel – Pilot/Intelligence Briefing Officer/Air Staff Officer. Lt. Col. Schroeder entered the Air Force on March 20, 1967 with an AFROTC Commission. After pilot training at Craig AFB in Selma, AL in 1968, he was assigned to the 360 Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron (TEWS) at Tan Son Nhut AFB in Saigon, RVN where he flew EC-47 aircraft and served as an Intelligence Briefing Officer. In 1969 he was assigned to Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC where he flew KC135 tanker aircraft. While stationed at Seymour Johnson he became an Instructor Pilot and also served as the Tanker Scheduling Officer. Lt. Col. Schroeder was released from active duty in 1974 and went back to school under the GI Bill earning his Master’s Degree.

In 1977 he joined the Air Force Reserve and served as an Air Staff Officer. While in this position he served his active duty obligation as an Air Staff Officer with Southern Command in the Republic of Panama. For his weekend duty obligation, he served at Patrick AFB as Airfield Manager. After being promoted in 1987 he was reassigned to Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT) at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL where he served as Combat Search and Recovery Officer until he retired in 1994. He received numerous awards including the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with Six Oak Leaf Clusters and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
